MR Image Reconstruction section of AMIRLab is devoted to develop novel acquisition and reconstruction methods to accelerate signal acquisition and processing times in MR imaging techniques. The research in this section of AMIRLab focuses on Polar Tagging Project and spectral Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopic Imaging (MRSI).
In this section in order to support the advantages of polar tagging a polar-based approach based on radial acquisition and an adapted Polar Fourier Transform (PFT) for reconstruction of acquired raw data has been proposed, which paves the road towards real-time strain imaging. Also, post processing of myocardium tagged images is embedded as a functor in image reconstruction chain and results of processes are available on the scanner console immediately after scan. Furthermore, in this research group, two distinct sampling-reconstruction methods based on Compressed Sensing (CS) framework have been proposed in order to accelerate acquisition times in spectral MRSI in order to facilitate its widespread utilization in clinic.
